Baseball Tutorial Little League: Indoor Throwing Drill 'Towel Drill' By Indiana Andrew The towel throw drill is great for practicing indoors when you have a confined space or don't have a partner to throw to. This drill is also great to teach proper throwing technique to younger players but every level including pro players use this drill to help develop arm strength. It's better to grab the bottom of the 2ft medium sized towel and have the towel loose and not rolled up which will create more wind resistance. Proper technique will include having the hand high above the shoulder and attention focused on rotating the hips, pulling the glove arm in and reaching forward with the towel pulling down with the wrist and finishing on the opposite side leg (glove side). This drill can be performed on one knee and standing up. This drill is great for pitchers, infielders and outfielders.
