How To Choose A level Subjects (When You Are Completely LOST) | iPerez Welcome to how to choose A-level subjects even if you are completely lost.

In today's video we are going to understand how to choose your a level subjects in 5 simple steps.

To pick up A level subjects you need to know first what you want to study at university. If you don't know then the decision of what to study for a levels is going to be a bit harder but it will reflect your likes and dislikes very well.

To decide what to take at a level you need to then focus on what are called Facilitating subjects like maths, further maths, geography, history, physics, chemistry and biology. This is especially true if you are choosing a level subjects because you are going to go to a Russel group university or oxbridge.

To help you focus more on what you need to do to pick a levels, think about the subjects that interest you the most and that you are passionate about. If you choose subjects just because they look good on your personal statement and transcript then it is going to be a catastrophe because admissions officers are going to be able to tell and you are likely going to score less than what you could have at other subjects.

My A level subject advice is that you also consider asking people who are around you and older students for advice since they have gone through the process as well and can give you feedback.

Finally remember that adding a little spice to your a levels can actually add an interesting touch to your life and applications because you will not be focused or pigeon-holed into one discipline alone.

For example, choose a level subjects like Maths, Further Maths and Music if you want to go into mathematics and the addition of maths will make you stand out in the application process and will give you a break from all the maths studying you are doing.
