Prithviraj Chavan clarifies over his comment on using gold from religious trusts

Congress leader Prithviraj Chauhan lands in a scoop over his demand to borrow gold from temple trust forces to attempt pace saver after a priest called the demand Anti Hindu. He gives a clarification later.

He also tweets, My suggestion of gold monetization from all religious trusts has been deliberately twisted and misrepresented by a particular section of bhakt media. Gold Deposit Scheme was originally started by A B Vajpeyee Govt in 1999.

In 2015 Modi Govt renamed it to Gold Monetization Scheme. Many temples have pledged their gold according to answer given in Lok Sabha by Fin Min. I shall initiate appropriate action for intentional attempt to communalize my statement.
