Brexit talks must be accelerated to conclude 'in good time', insists Penny Mordaunt Penny Mordaunt is responding to questions about the fourth round of trade talks between the UK and EU, describing them as "constructive" but with "acute" disagreement on fisheries and the level-playing field.

She says work must be accelerated to reach a deal, and it is the Government's priority to conclude talks "in good time".

She and Michael Gove will take part in the Withdrawal Agreement Joint Committee on Friday, looking at the Northern Ireland protocol, whilst also reiterating the Government's commitment to the transition ending in December.
