COVID-19: Singapore and Malaysia in talks to resume cross-border travel

COVID-19: Singapore and Malaysia in talks to resume cross-border travel Foreign Affairs Minister Vivian Balakrishnan said Singapore is in serious talks with Malaysia on resuming cross-border travel. He told CNA938 that even as borders gradually open up, it must be done safely. Dr Balakrishnan also urged more people to use the TraceTogether contact tracing app. He stressed that TraceTogether complements SafeEntry, a digital check-in system, and the two are not mutually exclusive. Dr Balakrishnan said 75% of Singapore's population will need to use TraceTogether -- instead of just 25% -- for it to be even more effective.
