It is one of the best skin care products that I own. This is a great product if you are just starting to use AHA/BHA and have sensitive skin. It did not irritate my skin at all but helped brighten my skin and get rid of blackheads. But you definitely need a sunscreen when using this product otherwise you might get dark spots on your skin.. I love The Ordinary products and this lactic acid is absolutely wonderful. It's non irritating and very hydrating. You will love what it does for your skin from the very first use.. 5% is gentle enough if you want to start incorporating Lactic Acid into your skin care regime. I use every night and layer with Timeless products and finish with a rich night cream. Once I have used up the bottle, I will purchase the 10% lactic acid and use 2-3 times a week.. I purchased this product on the recommendation of a you tuber. I use it every morning ( since February of 2019 ) and my 51 year old face has never looked better! Be sure to use sunscreen after applying this product as your skin may be more photosensitive. This product is an excellent value. I spent years overspending on department store skincare products.
