From fries to miles – a circular economy by McDonald’s Netherlands, Neste and HAVI

We explain the small circular economy built by Neste, McDonald’s Netherlands and HAVI that does more than cut fast food’s carbon emissions. In this closed loop, the used cooking oil from cooking fries in McDonald’s Netherlands restaurants is collected by the logistics company HAVI and refined into Neste MY Renewable Diesel by Neste. The same fuel is then used to fuel the trucks that transport more fries to McDonald’s.
