Now, I've literally only just hit publish on the e-book a few hours ago. And it's been a mad rush to make this video and write, illustrate and publish a children's book all in one week.
Updating since I published the video, our book is now available on Amazon! Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below:
This was an exhausting challenge to try to do in one week :D Please make it all worth it and let me wake up to you smashing that like button and subscribing to my channel:
Also, I'll be giving out prizes for my favourite comments. And for those of you coming over from the Hustle, you'll already know. I'll be giving away a Peloton to one random subscriber in the next two weeks. Ts&Cs at the bottom of this description.
If you liked to buy one of Steve's books, I'm linking to his favourite here:
Siouca Remembers:
I must confess to not having read his books, but if you're a sci-fi nerd, I'm sure it'll make a good read. Steve and I studied Physics together so he's bound to be on point with his science.
Here's how this video came about:
I was trawling through TikTok and saw someone claiming that you could make $100 per day by writing a 100-word children's book and self-publishing to Amazon Kindle.
Not one, to pass up some easy passive income, I thought: why the hell not give this a go and see if I can make $100 per day.
So, I set myself the challenge of writing and publishing a children's book in one week.
Those of you that know me, know that I don't do things half-arsed. So one hundred words just wouldn't cut it. I wanted my book to kick ass.
In the spirit of transparency, I'm sharing the entire journey with you here on YouTube. I'll show you every step I take to get my book published. It'll take a bit of time to see sales results, so subscribe to the channel, because I'll be following up with another video to show you exactly how much money my book makes.

Now, one very important step the Tik Tok video I alluded to earlier made, is not mentioning marketing. Don't expect to just hit publish and see the cash rolling in. I'm going to be making an effort to market my book.
I've only just hit publish on my book today. So next month, I'm going to share with you exactly which marketing channels I use, how much I spend on each, and how much they generate in sales. I'll be doing a mix of free and paid marketing channels to give this the best chance of success. But I'm not going to throw money away here. I'll be setting a limited budget to make it realistic and be fair to the owner of that Tik Tok video. Is it realistic for people to make $100 per day passive income writing a children's book? Let's find out!
Next time, I'll be breaking all of that down so we can see the highest ROI marketing channels for my e-book.
Peloton Giveaway Ts&Cs:
I like to keep things simple, so here are the rules. Pay special attention to rule #1 because this is my money I'm spending:
1. Don't be a d*$%;
2. To enter the giveaway all you have to do is subscribe to my channel;
3. Consider giving the video a like as well, but it won't affect your chances of winning (see rule #1);
4. I'll pick a winner from random (comments including "best content ever" or "Hamilton is so hot" may give you a competitive edge), but for the sake of YouTube's false engagement policies this is a joke;
5. Max one entry per person;
6. If Peloton does not deliver to your country I will transfer you $1,500 (or your local equivalent*) instead;
7. If you don't want the Peloton bike, you can have $1,500 (or your local equivalent*) instead;
Other boring stuff:
a.) YouTube says I must link to their Community Guidelines (
b.) YouTube is not a sponsor of this contest and require users to release YouTube from any and all liability related to this contest ;
c.) Privacy notice, I'm not asking for your email so not sure this applies, but if you go onto my website at any point then this privacy policy will apply (
*I have to say this because chances are you missed rule #1: local equivalent means I transfer the funds to your local jurisdiction using Transferwise and send $1,500. Whatever that equates to in your local currency will be determined by the exchange rate and any Transferwise fees at the time of the transfer.
