PES originally shot this loop back in 2007 as an homage to the WPIX Yule Log, an American tradition that has been broadcast on TV on Christmas Day since 1966.
PES's Fireplace was originally sold as a limited edition of 1000 DVDs and later released as an HD screensaver, but frequent operating system upgrades made it difficult (and costly) to keep updated.
Now, it is finally available for free in 4K resolution!

Instructions on Extended Looping: This 4K upload is 2 hours long. However, if you want the Fireplace to run more than 2 Hours (say, during a party) without having to manually reset it, you will need to activate the "LOOP" function on YouTube. Fortunately, this feature has been recently added (Nov 2016), but for desktops only. Simply control or right click on the video when it's playing and select "Loop" from the pop up menu. This will automatically restart the fireplace when it gets to the end of its 2 hours. Enjoy.
