Turnbull is an 'intellectual lightweight' in terms of his legacy: Peta Credlin

Turnbull is an 'intellectual lightweight' in terms of his legacy: Peta Credlin Sky News host Alan Jones has told former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull "when you learn to tell the truth, it might be time to write another book".

Mr Jones spoke to Sky News hosts and former Turnbull staffers Peta Credlin and Chris Kenny about the former prime minister's book and their time working for him.

"Malcolm could charm people, but then he would just explode; he couldn't find a way to argue and reason and comprise his way through," Mr Kenny said.

He asked Ms Credlin where the "sisterhood" was at in defending her after Mr Turnbull lambasted her in the book for allegedly dominating former prime minister Tony Abbott while she was his Chief of Staff.

"The sisterhood has never been there for me from day one," Ms Credlin said.

She said of Turnbull and his book, "the guy's just an intellectual lightweight when it comes to his legacy".

"It just amplifies what a poor incumbent of that role this man was".

Mr Jones said "when it comes to political fakes, Malcolm Turnbull is captain for life of the team".
