“Steady” was written after a vulnerable conversation between friends, where we discussed a similar theme; The weight of the world really felt like it was on our shoulders. I think it’s a place we’ve all been in, where life is just overwhelming and there are so many responsibilities that we struggle to handle them well. 1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you.” Which we believe is the the Lords way for us out of trial, and into triumph. We stand on the truth that the creator of heaven and earth really does care for us, and despite the rockiness of life, he remains steady! He’s there, he cares, and he’s ready to take all the weight off our shoulders so we can walk in the freedom he already payed for. -Colten May
