Schools, colleges and educational institutions have been shut for months in India and globally. While schools reopen in the West, the question in India is, when will schools and colleges reopen? Will children be safe at school? Most importantly, what happens when a child has prolonged exposure to online education? Can parents do something to reduce negative effects of prolonged online exposure? BOOM explains. Hours need to be shorter because it is difficult to monitor attention spans over longer periods of online classes for children. The silver lining in this situation is that parents & children have unconditioned themselves from traditional ways of schooling and embraced new shifts in education - everyone is forced to think creatively.
